Welcome

On this website you can find the data for the speech DAT-Austria project, which was conducted by the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna, Graz University of Technology and the Austrian German Research Centre between 1999-2001. The database was created to improve the speech recognition of telephone speech. An inventory of its contents can be found in the menu item "DB-Content".

The database contains the pronunciation data from 2000 Austrian speakers (1000 men and 1000 women) from all provinces. They give a good overview of the debate, the Austrians.

The data is the property of the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna, which has graciously agreed to make the data available to the public. The possible uses of the data are limited to the selective search and listening to the data. The download of the audio files is not allowed and technically prevented.

You can listen to data, by starting a quick search in search field on the right or visit the search page.
